2023 Club Championships Finals Night

What a night at Harlow Squash Club on Saturday 20th May! Good people, food and drink and AMAZING SQUASH – all combined to create a brilliant event which celebrated just how good this club is.

The main event was billed as ‘The Master Vs The Apprentice’ with John Simpson taking on his son Tommy. The game didn’t fail to disappoint and Tommy, who only minutes before the match had contested a very close junior final, managed to play for two championship points before John came back to beat his son 3-2.

The junior final was equally as entertaining, with Tommy fending off Stanley King 3-2 in another highly-competitive match.

Jonathan McGuinness overcame Gary Walker in a classy Senior Final and Jim Wright beat Gary Gibson to claim the Plate Competition.

In the other junior finals, Louie Gibson was the U11 tournament winner and Oscar Moore won the Junior ‘B’ final. A special mention to Will Mitchell who picked up the ‘Bardner-Horn’ trophy for being the most improved junior player this season.
